Deep Cleaning vs. Standard Cleaning: Which One Do You Need?

When you call a cleaning service, the first question is usually whether you need a deep clean or a standard clean. The difference comes down to how much buildup there is and how much detail work the home needs.

A standard cleaning is maintenance. Kitchens and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized, reachable surfaces are dusted, floors are vacuumed and mopped, and trash goes out. It's designed for a home that's already in good shape and needs to stay that way.

A deep cleaning adds the detail work that builds up over months: baseboards and door frames wiped by hand, grout and shower glass scrubbed, the stovetop and range hood degreased, the inside of the microwave cleaned, vents and ceiling fans dusted, and the spaces behind and under furniture reached. It takes longer and costs more, but it resets the house.

Most homes do best with a deep clean first and standard visits after. Once the buildup is gone, weekly or biweekly standard cleaning keeps it from coming back, and an occasional deep clean every few months handles the rest.

Not sure which you need? Tell us when the home was last professionally cleaned and what bothers you most, and we'll recommend the right starting point. Your first service is 15% off either way.
