Moving out is stressful enough without losing part of your deposit to cleaning fees. Landlords and property managers around Annapolis and Glen Burnie tend to check the same places, so start there.
Kitchen: clean inside the refrigerator and freezer, inside the oven and microwave, and inside every cabinet and drawer. Wipe cabinet fronts, the backsplash, and the range hood filter. Crumbs left in a drawer are one of the most common deductions.
Bathrooms: scrub the tub, shower, and grout, remove soap scum from glass, clean the toilet including the base, and wipe mirrors, fixtures, and inside the vanity.
Throughout the home: wipe baseboards, door frames, light switches, and outlet covers. Clean window sills and tracks. Remove nails only if your lease allows it, and wipe scuffs off walls where they come off easily. Vacuum closets, then vacuum and mop every floor last.
Take dated photos of each room when you're done. If you'd rather hand it off, our move-in/move-out cleaning covers all of the above, and we can schedule it around your move date and final walkthrough.
